My School.

           I am a student of Pragjyotish English Medium High School ,Maligaon, studying in the tenth standard. This school headed by Principal Mr. M. Shukla is at present one of the top seeded educational institutions of Guwahati. I joined this institution in the second standard and I have, since then, found this institution quite inspiring. This school has provided me with all the facilities which are necessary for the well being of a student. The teachers are friendly as well as co-operative who always strive for the up coming of the students. The school provided elementary computer education, non-scholastic education and above all highlights the feelings and qualities of the students through the school magazine "Pragjyotika". Our school has been doing brilliant results in the H.S.L.C Examination which proves its potentialities. In fine, our school provides the steps for success which enlightens the path of a new world to the students.

            There is a saying that school is a temple where teacher is the god. But for me it is at the same time a temple and my second home where teachers are the parents and guardians. My school whose name is "Pragjyotish English Medium high School" is the same that I have mentioned above. I have been reading in this school for the last 11 years and from time to time I am seeing a continuous progress of my school in all aspects. It is also gaining more and more reputation day by day. And today it's name comes among the topmost schools of the city. I have learnt as well as gained a lot of knowledge from the teacher's of my school and they too always ready to help me with their knowledge whenever I approach them with some problems. My teachers helped me a lot in increasing the store of my knowledge. They always try to maintain a friendly relation with us but some times circumstances compel them to be rigorous with us, which in turn helped us to change our faults and bad habits. H.S.L.C results of our school during the last few years proves the hard work of the teachers of my school behind the students. My respected Principal sir has always tried his lavel best to provide us with a perfect academic as well as homely environment. Besides, the non-scholastic programmes of our school settled by him also help me to judge my skill in certain activities. Although, I have not yet got a school playground that fulfills the minimum requirements to play an outdoor game, but I hope that this facility will also be provided in future. Hope that my school earns more name and fame in future and make more progress further in every field. Long live Pragjyotish.

           A school is said to be a temple of learning and I have no hesitation in calling my school, Pragjyotish English Medium High School, one such temple of learning, for a decade of study here has provided me with the basic intellectual equipment. This school has provided me all the amenities for my intellectual nourishment and growth as a student. The teachers are a trained lot. They are a devoted team of men and women, headed by an experienced Principal. The co-operation and friendly approach of the teachers are worth mentioning. The constant effort of the well trained staff is to bring out the best qualities of the pupils. Special attention is given to ensure a high standard of discipline in the school. The endeavor of the staff has succeeded to bring good results to the school. I honestly opine that Pragjyotish English Medium High School is an ideal school and I take pride in being a part of it.
